My family makes a version of this instead of cranking open a can. It is fresh and bright and beautiful and always better the day after. You can toy with this recipe. If you do not want to add the sugar try adding another apple to sweeten it up.
Cranberry Relish
1 large apple
1 orange (unpeeled)
2 cups cranberries washed and sorted
1/2 tsp allspice
1/4 cup sugar
In a food processor pulse each fruit separately then mix them together in a medium bowl add in Allspice and sugar. Place in the refrigerator until you are ready to serve
